SNES Name Larry
PS Name Larry
GBA Name Laragorn

Laragorn is a boss from the game Final Fantasy VI. Curlax, Moebius, and him make up the Three Dream Stooges.

Strategy

The threesome can cast Delta Attack when they are all alive, which inflicts Petrify on a target and always hits barring immunity, so equipping Ribbons and Jeweled Rings are in order. Curlax should be the first to die, as it uses Arise to revive his dead siblings if he does not die first. Curlax is weak to Ice, so Blizzara and Blizzaga spells work well. He is also vulnerable to Sleep, so take advantage of that. Moebius should go down next. He can cast Haste to speed him and his brothers up, as well as Thundaga. He has no weakness, but he absorbs Lightning, so he may take a few hits to take down. He can, however, be Stopped. Laragorn should be saved for last, as he can run away at times. He attacks with Blizzaga, and is weak to Fire, so Fira and Firaga work well. He is also vulnerable to Instant Death.

Larry is metioned in Janelle Granger's diary on ABC's Lost website, but has not appeared in any episodes.

On the island

Larry hits on Janelle, from her diary, but she doesn't like him or trust him, and is generally bothered by him. Janelle won some extra boar meat from Larry when Jack made his putt. Larry was sleeping when Janelle apparently was attacked, although it is probable it was just a minor incident such as the dynamite blowing up the hatch escape door.

A detailed image of Larry.

Larry is a zoo keeper who knows about the true intentions of the penguins, and is part of the PBJ, an organisation against the penguins and their evil plans. Players must talk to Larry to start the Cold War and the Hunt for the Red Raktuber quests. During Cold War, when players have made a clockwork penguin, he shrinks the player so that they can fit inside the suit. He only does this at the following locations: Iceberg, East of Yanille, Ardougne Zoo and at the Lumbridge sheep pen.

However, Larry will only shrink players in the Lumbridge sheep pen during the quest. He is apparently quite a proficient magic user as he can shrink and tele-other players during the Cold War quest, although he says that teleporting stresses him out, which is probably why he doesn't always use it to get to faraway locations during the quest.

If players would like to have a Penguin as a pet, they should ask the Penguin Keeper for an egg as opposed to Larry, as he does not give penguin eggs.

Penguin Hide and Seek

Main article: Penguin Hide and Seek

Larry is the starting point for the Penguin Hide and Seek, a part of the Distractions and Diversions. He can be located with the Distractions and Diversions icon (File:D&D icon.png) on the World map. Doing Cold War is not required, however if you do complete you may receive a point bonus.

When spoken to, he explains how to spy on penguins, and provides players with the Spy notebook to keep track of their activities. By doing this, player earn Penguin points which may be traded for coins and experience.

Note: After completion of Hunt for the Red Raktuber, Larry is taken away and Chuck will take over for doing Penguin Hide and Seek.

Possible hints

Larry may give 9-11 hints for penguin locations. As the penguins move around, additional hints may be given during the current week:

Trivia

  • Larry seems to be hallucinating and suffering from paranoia, much like the mental illness known as Schizophrenia. However, it is later proven that his paranoia is for good reason.
  • His motives for watching over the penguins was due to the penguins been making a model of the Ardougne Zoo out of fish bones. This was revealed in the 40th Postbag from the Hedge.
  • At the end of Hunt for the Red Raktuber, Larry is taken away to the Motherland, and it is unknown so far what happens to him. When Larry is contacted with the NPC Contact spell after the quest, the player is instead redirected to Chuck.
  • During Hunt for the Red Raktuber, Larry went for a fishing vacation at Witchaven, and he states that the people there are all right and that he felt home there. This is probably a joke as Larry is thought to be crazy himself.
  • If using NPC Contact from the Lunar spellbook to ask Larry about claiming your reward you will get an error "There has been a disruption in your connection. Please redial and try again." And if you try again the same error will appear.
  • At the end of Cold War quest, Larry still uses the old dance emote instead of the new one.
  • Larry's and Chuck's name might be a reference to the movie "I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry."

Larry was a Shriek from the forest moon of Endor. Sometime after the Battle of Yavin, he befriended the Ewoks Wicket W. Warrick and Teebo.

Biography

Larry's tribe hailed from a village. However, after Larry ran away from home, the tribe moved away. Larry was devastated when he returned to a deserted village, and took up a hermit's life.

Due to his reclusive nature, Larry remained hidden in a hollow tree for many years. This caused the neighboring Kagles and Ewoks to believe the tree was haunted by vengeful spirits called "Shrieks." Wicket and Teebo at last discovered the truth, when they found Larry inside the tree. He returned with them to a feast at Bright Tree Village, and remained a friend of the Ewoks.

Sometime later, Wicket and Teebo "traded" Larry a blanket because they felt sorry for him, but Larry did not give them anything in return.

Transformers

Up to date as of February 05, 2010

From Teletraan I: The Transformers Wiki

Larry is a human character in the Generation One continuity family.
Mom, Grampa's off his meds again.

Larry is a janitor at the Pentagon. He is generally thought to be senile, but has top-level security clearance anyway because he's adorable. He does look like Jonathan Katz, after all.

Fiction

Dreamwave comics continuity

Larry's brother was an engineer attached to Project Lazarus. When the engineer attempted to reveal General Robert Hallo's plans to destroy the Ark II, Hallo had the would-be whistleblower murdered.

When Spike Witwicky was taken to the Pentagon by Hallo, Larry encountered him in the hallways and incoherently rambled at him. Later, as Spike was imprisoned within the building, Larry passed a note underneath his cell door, telling him to be ready at 3 o'clock.

For some reason, Spike assumed that the unsigned note was from Hallo, and signified the time when he was to be executed. Thus, he was surprised when Larry came to the door and snuck him into a broom closet. Once there, Larry gave him a folder of Project Lazarus documents, explaining the machinations of Hallo and Lazarus.

In gratitude, Spike beat him up.

He is often with Lenny, standing at his right side, and Lug, who stands at his left. He is never shown speaking in the Japanese anime. Instead he sniggers, making the noise shi-shi-shi. He makes the same noise, only slower when he is unsure of the situation. In the English anime, his laugh is changed to a more conventional one.

Deck

In Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Stardust Accelerator, Lenny uses a Deck titled, "Ssss ss ss!". It focuses on Summoning high Level monsters.

"Mausoleum of the Emperor" is used to avoid needing Tributes or "Giant Germ" and "Stray Lambs" can be used to quickly get monsters to Tribute.

"The Calculator" makes benefit of the high Level monsters. 3 copies of "Royal Decree" are used to protect the monsters when Summoned or attacking.
