Lady was a female Golden Lab dog owned by James and Sam Kirk circa the 2230s and 2240s. At the end of a long life, she became untreatably ill, and the Kirk family regretfully had her euthanized. James and Sam begged to have her cloned, but their father refused, telling them they needed to respect the pet's life and death. (TOS novel: Prime Directive)

The Lady is part of the third tier of the final boss of Final Fantasy VI, along with Rest. Although possessing the lowest HP of them all, she is by no means the easiest. Even though she is weak to all elements, she actually absorbs them, and is fully healed by any elemental spell. This is because absorption overrides weakness, as absorption is higher in priority. Lady frequently casts White Wind, but can also cast Arise if Rest is defeated before her.

One thing to note is that Lady's Arise will never heal Rest to his full health of 40,000 HP; instead, it caps at 9,999 HP.

Trivia

Girl in the SNES version

The SNES version of Final Fantasy VI censored the appearance of Girl, altering her hair slightly to make her breasts less noticable.

(Redirected to Lord article)

From Wookieepedia, the Star Wars wiki.

Lord was a title of nobility, deity, and, in past times, a military rank, such as a Jedi Lord. The female version of Lord was Lady. It was in common use among the Sith, usually used in lieu of Darth when formally referring to Dark Lords.

During the New Sith Wars, various high-ranking Jedi also held the rank, including Hoth, Saleeh, Gale and Valenthyne Farfalla.

As a title of nobility, it was recognized by many different worlds as a position of power and authority. Many societies incorporated the title in their way of life and/or as a part of their governments. Several examples include:

It was considered a great honor to be granted the title of Lord by Emperor Palpatine. During the rule of the Galactic Empire, the Emperor would elevate several loyal servants to the rank and title of Lord for their service to him or for performing a great deed in name of the Empire. The members of the Imperial Ruling Council were addressed as such.

As a title of deity, "Lord" was used in various swear words and other phrases. For example, Leia Organa was known to use the phrase, "Lord knows how many...."

Apparently it also served as a form of address for the Speaker of the Galactic Senate; in the Revenge of the Sith novelization, Anakin Skywalker addresses Mas Amedda as "Lord Speaker".

Behind the scenes

"Lord" as used by Leia may be the title of an Alderaanian deity. It may even imply that the Alderaanians are monotheistic.
