Kyoto is a city located in Japan on Earth. Kyoto is one of United Earth's administrative capital cities. (ST reference: Star Charts)

Earth Starfleet officer Hoshi Sato was born in Kyoto on July 9th, 2129. After her death at the hands of Governor Kodos in 2246, the bodies of Hoshi Sato and her husband Takashi Kimura were buried in Kyoto. (ENT episode: "In a Mirror, Darkly, Part II")

The information on this page regarding Hoshi Sato was taken from a biography of Hoshi written by Enterprise series writer Mike Sussman for the two-part episode In a Mirror, Darkly. Most of the bio appeared on-screen in the episode.

In the Mirror Universe, Kyoto becomes the effective capital of the Terran Empire following Hoshi Sato's rise to power as its new empress in 2155. As Empress Sato I, Hoshi takes up residence in the historic Kyoto Imperial Palace. (ENT novel: Age of the Empress)

Kyoto is major city of japan and the location of the headquater of the Gethsemane Group in Dimensional Prophecy of Zohar. In the 24th century, Kyoto is a suburb of Tokyo, because Tokyo grew very big (Dragon Ball Z vs Star Trek The Beginning of Infinity).

Geographical

In Dragon Ball Z vs Star Trek The Beginning of Infinity and Dimensional Prophecy of Zohar, Kyoto is located in a valley. This valley is the crater of the explosion of 3 hydrogen bombs during the World War III. This explosions destroyed the city completely , but the city became rebuildt. A central computer system controls the supply of the basic needs of the inhabitants like water and energy. In the city , there are many buildings of Section 31 and Majestic 12. Under the city , there is a secret prison like building of Section 31.

The school Karala Yagiyu and Madoka Michael attempt is a big school which has a big library, where many occult books are stored. On the area of the school, there is a big floral clock. On one wall of the school , there is the sentence "cogito ergo sum.". This is a famous statement of the french philosopher Rene Descartes which means "I think , therefore I am". (Dimensional Prophecy of Zohar)
