Gorn dies in his castle.

King Gorn is a character from Final Fantasy III. He is the king of Saronia, and the father of Prince Alus Restor.

After the king's evil adviser, Gigameth, had taken control over his mind, King Gorn exiled his son from the castle. But when Alus finds the Warriors of the Light, they head back to the castle, where Gigameth tries to control King Gorn into killing his son. The king hesitates and stabs himself, because he would rather face death than to kill his son, the Party then face Gigameth who transforms into Garuda who falls at the hands of the party avenging King Gorn.

During his last moments alive, he asks for Alus' forgiveness, which he receives.

• In the Dawn of Souls and 20th Anniversary remakes of the original Final Fantasy, Gorn is one of the automatic names the player can choose for the Monk Job.
