Kessel Run is a comic that first appeared in Star Wars Tales 16 and was collected in Star Wars Tales Volume 4.
Squishmael, a Sloogarian who tells stories in exchange for drinks, reminisces about the night Han Solo won the Millennium Falcon. Lando Calrissian tells Han that he must complete the Kessel Run if he wants to be in the "big-time". Han confesses that he's never heard of the Kessel Run. After much laughter, Lando and his friends reveal that Kessel is not a system, but rather a bird. Han must catch a bunch of Kessel and then deliver them. The question is, how far will he have to go? Will he make it in thirteen parsecs...or twenty? Han agrees, and after buying Kessel from various sources, rather than catching them himself, he realizes that Kessel are worthless, and he's been conned. The seventeen thousand credits that he ended up spending went to Lando's associates and more than made up for the money they lost to Han during their sabacc game. Squishmael then offers to tell the story of when he and Darth Vader went tauntaun busting on Hoth.
For this story to fit into continuity, it needs to occur before Han Solo has heard of the Kessel Run, and after he has won the Millennium Falcon from Lando Calrissian. Solo first ran the Kessel Run in 5 BBY, according to The Hutt Gambit, yet did not win the ship from Calrissian until 2 BBY. Consequently, this story appears unable to fit into canon.
