Kate's New Life

  • Without Jacob intervening in the lunchbox incident, Tom and Kate's friendship is changed in some manner so that the Tom and Kate do not meet again in adulthood. Tom is not shot and killed, and goes on to live a normal life. In the alternate future, the case with the toy plane is not on the plane. Kate doesn't seem to make any effort to go after the case even though she is next to the baggage area, while in the original timeline she orchestrated a bank heist to acquire it.
    • Without Jacob's intervention she never got the lunchbox, and they were probably disheartened from doing the time capsule. This means that alot of the events we saw in Kates flashbacks regarding this never happened in the alt world.
    • The toy plane used to be in the Marshall's suitcase I remember. He had it with him when she knocked him out in the lady's room. But you are right, she took his jacket, but didn't care for the suitcase. It looks like a different suitcase also.
      • Well, she took his jacket to cover her handcuffs. She didn't WANT it.
    • I think the most likely explanation is that Kate would have liked to keep the plane, but her first priority was escape and she couldn't risk it.
      • You would say her first priority would be to stay out of jail and out of police's sight when she robes the bank as well, and yet she, a wanted fugitive, takes the time and risk to rob a bank just to get the plane. She risked and worked way more to get the plane from the bank then she would've had to in order to get it from the suitcase. The only reasonable explanation is that she really didn't want it this time.
  • I think that Kate will turn out to be more of a bad person in the alternate timeline, To me she seems more ruthless and a tad cold.
