Karra originally had a Human or near-Human form. She first appeared to Ace mounted on a horse in a playground in Ace's old home town of Perivale. Karra transported Ace to the Cheetah World and there killed Stuart, also abducted from Perivale. Ace threw a rock at Karra's head, hurting her, though she soon healed thanks to the power of the planet. Respecting Ace now, Karra introduced her name to Ace and offered her a new life with the Cheetah People, a prospect which tempted her.
At last, Karra returned to Perivale, scared off the Master's minions there and readied to attack him at which point he stabbed her to death with a knife. She reverted to her old form for a few moments before dying at which point a Cheetah Person appeared to bear her body away. (DW: Survival)
Karra was a young female Klingon and member of Klahb. In 2379 she participated in the attempted takeover of the Federation Embassy on Qo'noS. She was hired as a kitchen steward one week prior to the takeover. Worf did not recognize her when she brought him a plate of gagh, which caused him to look up her personnel file in the embassy staff records.
During the Dominion War, Karra served as a bekk in the Klingon Defense Force. She was angered when she found out that Rov, the leader of the takeover, refused to serve unless he was made an officer.
When Worf was able to reactivate the security system in the embassy and flood the building with anesthizine gas, Karrah was captured along with all of the remaining members of Klahb except for Rov. (TNG novel: A Time for War, A Time for Peace)

Karra was the Karran homeworld. It was briefly colonized by the Mineral Assets Partnership in 500 BBY. Later, the Galactic Empire established varmigio mines on the planet. Both offworld settlements were destroyed by swarms of insects controlled by the Karran hive-mind.
Karra had a diverse array of insectoid fauna, including swarmers, karran beetles, karran mantises, and legworms.
