Karambwan paste: Misc

From the RuneScape Wiki, the wiki for all things RuneScape

Karambwan paste is made by using poison karambwan with a pestle and mortar. It can be used to coat spears or hastae (not daggers) with Karambwan poison to inflict poison on enemies when fought. Players can also get a paste if they grind down raw or thoroughly cooked Karambwan, but it cannot be used to coat spears with poison. A weapon coated with this poison will have a suffix of (kp). When this poison hits a player, it hits for a 6 and cannot be cured by a normal antipoison potion. For this reason "kp" coated Dragon spears may be used in player-killing or minigames as a way to make sure that the poison is not cured. For some unknown reason Karambwan poison seems to take effect faster than any other weapon poison. This has not been proven but many players have reported this to be true. Player's have also recorded that kp spears are useful for The Wilderness, since the karambwan paste poison is uncurable it can be used against Revenants

Important to Note:

  • Karambwan Paste is not sold in stores. Players must make it themselves; And that means doing the Tai Bwo Wannai Trio quest.
  • Karambwan poisoned weapons cannot be bought/sold to/from stores, or the Grand Exchange; And they are not tradeable to other players.
