Kara
Also known as:
Race: Human
Home Planet: Necros
Home Era:
Appearances: DW: Revelation of the Daleks
Actor: Eleanor Bron
"Orcini will succeed. And when he does, not only will I be rid of that troublesome Davros, but I will control the food supply for the whole galaxy!"
— Kara (DW: Revelation of the Daleks)

Kara usually called Madame Kara assisted by Vogel, was the manager of food manufacturing factories on the planet Necros. She sold the food to developing planets, although the product was created by Davros. She planned to destroy Davros so that he would no longer get in the way.

Kara employed Orcini, a Knight of the Grand Order of Oberon to assassinate Davros, a task which (given Davros' reputation), Orcini considered honourable. She gave Orcini a bomb, disguised as a communications device, which he would use as soon as he had killed Davros. Unknown to Orcini, the bomb would explode and blow up Orcini, Davros, Bostock (Orcini's squire) and whoever else got in the way, as soon as he keyed in the correct code.

When Orcini and Bostock entered the crypts of Tranquil Repose to look for Davros, they encountered one of Davros' Daleks and destroyed it. This alerted Davros and fueled his suspicion of Kara. Davros, suspecting the assassination attempt, contacted Kara to suggest that she "protect" herself with a squad of Daleks. Because she knew it would have given away her treachery to refuse, Kara reluctantly agreed. When the Daleks arrived, they exterminated Vogel and took Kara. Upon entering Davros' lair, she was asked about the transmitter given to Orcini. She denied that she gave him the device, leading Davros to give the box to Orcini and asking him to do what he was supposed to with it. Kara stopped him and admitted the truth. Angered at her betrayal, Orcini revealed a knife and stabbed her. (DW: Revelation of the Daleks)

It could be that, because her outfit is similar to that of the people of Chloris, Kara is a native of Chloris and not of Necros.

"There's something wrong in there. I feel...darkness...evil...the dark side."
―Kara

Kara was a Force-sensitive medic also training in the ways of the Jedi. She served on board the New Republic picket ship which discovered the only remaining Outrider-class cruiser belonging to the Order of the Silver Jedi. She accompanied Captain Korsu and his group when they boarded the cruiser and informed the captain that she felt darkness aboard. Immediately after she said this, the Force Vampire barreled through the group, grabbed onto her and drained her of her life.

Introductions

Contact Introduced By

  • None. Kara is a broker.

New Contact(s)

If you don't mind doing some work for the Family, I've got someone you should meet. His name is Lorenz Ansaldo, a troubleshooter for the Family in Sharkhead Isle. The Family supplies him with Natural and Technology Enhancements.
Lorenz is a bit of a character, but he can set you up with some good work.

When it comes to dedication, Vince takes the cake. Don't say a word against Cage Consortium where he can hear.
Have you met Vince Dubrowski? He's working for the Cage Consortium, trying to keep their Sharkhead Isle mining operation in the black. That brings him into contact with the Scrapyarders quite a bit. His connections at Cage can get him Natural and Technology Enhancements.

You ever heard of Captain Petrovich? He's an old sea captain that's been around the Rogue Isles for ages. Nobody knows how, but he's got some secret connections that get him Technology and Science Enhancements.
He's a surly sort, but a solid old fella.

Information

Broker

Kara was a top-notch assassin before she suffered a crushing defeat by Statesman. Her body had never been the same, so now she brokers information from her criminal contacts and shares it with super-powered operatives--like you.

Initial Contact

My name is Kara. I am called the Scorpion because I am quick to sting those who cross me. If you can make a name for yourself on this wretched isle, I might share some of my tips with you. I can no longer partake in the great game myself--Statesman himself saw to that when he broke my spine--but my former employers often pass on lucrative tips for a small cut of the proceeds.

Since you're playing in the big leagues now, you'll have to do a lot more to earn my respect. I'd say five jobs should earn you a heist.

Briefing
