Κ κ Kappa is a letter in the Greek language alphabet of Earth, originating in the early period of Human history. It is used for designations in science, mapping and other fields used in space travel and communications. Many planets, planetoids, stars and star systems use a variation of this term in their name.

Kappa the Imp is a character that appears in Final Fantasy VI. He acts as a tutorial for the game along with Mog, albeit specializing only in explaining Gau's unique skills. In the PlayStation version of Final Fantasy VI, this character was simply referred to by the generic name Imp during the same tutorial.

Trivia

• Kappa the Imp makes a small cameo in Dissidia Final Fantasy as a tutor from the in-game manuals.

General

Kappa are bipedal turtles with multiple eyes and beak-like jaws that serve the Sea Spirit Zhu Hanuku.

They tend to habitate near water (or locations that used to have water) and fitting with their preferred element all Kappa are hydromancers, i.e. conjurers of Water Magic.

Kappa are obviously inspired by the Kappa of Japanese mythology, which are "water imps" that usually resemble turtles.

In game all Kappa are simply labeled "Kappa", but they vary in habitat, size, levels, skills, and drops. For easier identification in this wiki these different types are sometimes referred to by a sobriquet according to the type of Kappa Shell they drop:

The sobriquets (Hatchling > Elder > Ancient > Archaic) imply that Kappas can reach great age (possibly in the hundreds or even thousands of years). Obviously their power (level) increases with their age.

Note that the Level 20 Kappa from Kaineng City almost have a completely unique set of skills compared to other Kappa.

Trivia

• According to Sujun on Shing Jea Island, the collective noun for a group of Kappas is a pride and they are very fond of cucumbers.

Description

• Ethnicity - South Indian
• Type of meal - Party, Lunch, Dinner

Ingredients

• 1 kg: Kappa
• 1/2 tsp: turmeric Powder
• 5 no: Green chili
• 5 no: garlic
• 1/2 tsp: cumin seeds
• 1/2 cup: grated coconut
• 2 tsp: coconut oil
• 2 no: Dried red chilly (make small pieces)
• curry leaves
• mustard seeds
• 2 no: Small Onion pieces

Directions

1. Peel the Kappa and boil till soft (around 15 minutes) in sufficient water after it become soft, stain the water.
2. Make the past of cumin seeds, garlic, grated coconut, green chilly and add the past in boiled Kappa along with the turmeric powder.
3. Put a pan on stove and pour the coconut oil and boil the oil in medium fire, after 1 minute add the mustard seeds, Onion pieces, dried red chilly, curry leaves and fry all the ingredients 1/2 minutes.
4. Pour this mixture into tapioca and mix well.
5. Serve with fish curry and rice.
