The Judges are a recurring element in the Final Fantasy titles that exist in the Ivalice universe. Generally, Judges are the keepers of Law in Ivalice, and have held this position since their initial appearance in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.

Judges serve under the Ministry of Law in the Archadian Empire. The highest in rank are the Judge Magisters, who are often accompanied by subordinate Judges.
The Judge of Wings is aptly referred to as a Judge by Sky Pirates due to her appearance being similar to Archadian Judges. Though it should be noted that she is not affiliated with Archadia.
Their debut in the series, the Judges serve to uphold the law set by the Ivalice Royal Family, headed by Queen Remedi and administered by Judgemaster Cid Randell.
The Judges are given a different persona as well as a different role. Here they serve Adjudged Clans where they protect them from death as long as they uphold the laws set during engagements.
A Judge appears in concept art. He looks suspiciously like Gabranth, although he wields a lance rather than a sword.

Arthur Galzethron was the judge who presided over Kate's trial. ("Eggtown")
After being introduced to the court, he agreed with Melissa Dunbrook, the district attorney, and ordered that Kate be remanded into custody for the duration of the trial. He allowed Jack to take the witness stand, and he allowed Melissa to ask Jack if he loved Kate, to which he untruthfully answered no. Later, he was informed by Melissa that Kate's mother had pulled out of the trial due to "medical reasons". Galzethron told Melissa that he would call the court to a recess for lunch, but that the case would continue after the recess. ("Eggtown")
