Marion Morrison, a.k.a John Wayne, (May 26, 1907 – June 11, 1979) was a human who lived on Earth during the 20th century. Wayne was a American actor who was best known for playing characters in military and Ancient West films.

Wayne famously played Davy Crockett in the 1960 film The Alamo. (DS9 episode: "Badda-Bing, Badda-Bang")

Dr. Elizabeth Dehner compared Commander Melody Sawyer to John Wayne, crossed with Scarlett O'Hara. (TOS novel: Strangers from the Sky)

Miles O'Brien likewise compared Cregger Lor Mowlanish Dor Crixa Tel to Wayne after meeting him in 2374. (DS9 novelization: ...Sacrifice of Angels)
