John Bear is a slave in The Pitt who fights in The Hole with his brother Grudd Bear. Together the two of them are undefeated prior to arrival of the Lone Wanderer in the year 2277

Interactions with the player character

The Bear Brothers make up the second round in the Hole. John will use his Deathclaw Gauntlet to slice through your armor while his brother roasts you. You need to kill both of them to proceed through the Hole.

Notes

Given that Paladin Kodiak of the Brotherhood of Steel was rescued as an infant from the Pitt, is African-American, and name is 'Greg Bear', it is possible that he is related to the Bear Brothers.
