Gerald Francis "Jez" Quigley played by Lee Boardman is a fictional character and gangster in Coronation Street

Biography

Jez was a drug dealer and gangster, who Steve McDonald turned to for a job in 1997, which was unsuccessful. Jez had Tony Horrocks brutally beaten up and locked in a cellar in 1998, whose body wouldnt be discovered until 2000.

Jez returned to the street in 1999, and he supplied concaine to Leanne Battersby, who became addicted to it. When Tony's body was discovered in 2000, Steve stood up to Jez at the trial and gave evidence towards him. However, Jez was let go, and angry that Steve stood up to him, trapped Steve in an underground carpark and had him beat up by a gang of thugs. When Steve's father Jim McDonald found out, Jim went to Jez's flat and beat him up. Jez's spleen ruptured and he later died in hospital.

Later in the year, Jim was sentenced to prison for 8 years. He was let out in 2007 for good behaviour.
