From Grand Theft Wiki

A Jester in GTA San Andreas (Rear quarter view).

The Jester is a two-door vehicle in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

Contents

Description

Designed as a two-door sports coupe, the Jester is based on the 1993-2002 Toyota Supra, although GTA San Andreas was set in 1992, and the vehicle's front end is elongated. As it is considered a tuner, it can only be modified at Wheel Arch Angels. It feels and sounds as if powered by a V6.

Unlike the Supra, the Jester is front-wheel-drive, yet retains its sporty qualities. In acceleration, speed, handling, and braking, the Jester is inferior to most other sports cars and tuners in the game, superior only to the Euros. However, the vehicle still possesses good grip and braking, ideal for sharp cornering using the brake or handbrake.

Modifications

Possible combinations of modifications that can be given to Jester's at Wheel Arch Angels in GTA San Andreas.

"Jester" was the nickname of a clone trooper who served in Clone Sergeant Slick's platoon during the Clone Wars. In 22 BBY, he was dispatched with a Jedi-led contingent of the Grand Army of the Republic to liberate the planet of Christophsis from the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Jester joined his unit on reconnoitering the planet for a strategical ambush site, but the Confederacy was able to ambush the Republic forces. After the clone troopers returned to the base, Jester cleaned his blaster, as he did after every battle. When Clone Captain CC-7567 and Clone Commander CC-2224 interrogated the members of Slick's platoon to locate a possible Confederate spy, Jester was nervous about talking to his commanding officers, but fellow trooper Sketch vouched for him, and Jester was able to verify his alibi. Sergeant Slick himself was later revealed to be the turncoat and was apprehended.

Biography

"I'm sorry, sir. Just a little nervous. You're my CO."
―Jester, to Rex and Cody

The clone trooper nicknamed "Jester" was a clone of bounty hunter Jango Fett, born on the planet of Kamino to serve in the Grand Army of the Republic.[1] During the Clone Wars, he was a member of Clone Sergeant Slick's platoon.[4] In 22 BBY,[5] Jester was dispatched with a contingent of the Republic army—under the command of High Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi and Jedi General Anakin Skywalker—to liberate the planet of Christophsis from the Confederacy of Independent Systems.[3] Slick's unit reconnoitered the planet and located the North and South towers as a suitable site from which to ambush the Confederate droids. While returning to the Republic base, the platoon came across a group of B1 battle droids that were attempting to clear a major boulevard of Christophsians.[6]

Jester presents his freshly scrubbed weapon to Cody.

When the battle droids discovered a crippled Christophsian and discussed killing the man, the clones intervened and eliminated the droids before returning to the base.[6] Later, Sergeant Slick's platoon was stationed in the South tower with General Kenobi and Clone Commander CC-2224, while Skywalker and Clone Captain CC-7567 were based with their troopers in the parallel North tower. The Republic troops prepared to attack the Confederate droids below, but the approaching droid column unexpectedly split in two, and battle droids arrived in the South tower and ambushed the clones. Skywalker and his men arrived in the South tower to reinforce Kenobi's group, and taking a turbolift to the roof of the tower, the Republic forces escaped in clone pilot Hawk's LAAT/i gunship.[3]

After the Republic forces had returned to their base, Jester cleaned his blaster, as he always did after a battle. During investigations regarding the possibility of a Confederate spy amongst their ranks, CC-2224 and CC-7567—nicknamed "Cody" and "Rex," respectively—traced an irregular wavelength in external communications to Slick's barracks. Suspecting that one of the sergeant's men was the turncoat, the two clone officers called the unit to individually interrogate them in the platoon's quarters. Jester was initially nervous about speaking to his commanding officers, but fellow trooper Sketch vouched for him, and Jester presented his freshly scrubbed weapon to Cody as proof. Eventually, Slick was revealed to be the spy, and escaped before severely damaging the Republic's gunships, AT-TE walkers, and weapons depot. The turncoat sergeant was spotted running into the base's command center, and Rex and Cody ordered Slick's platoon to secure the perimeter. The two clone officers later managed to apprehend the traitorous Slick.[3]

Personality and traits

Jester and his brethren discover Slick's treachery.
"…cleans his weapon after every mission. First thing, every time. He's kind of obsessed that way."
―Sketch vouches for Jester — (audio)Listen (file info)

Jester developed a habit of cleaning and scrubbing his blaster after every battle. He was initially nervous about talking to his commanding officers, and at first stuttered while addressing Rex and Cody. After Sketch vouched for him, he became more confident, offering evidence that Cody and Rex could verify themselves. Jester was visibly shocked when his own sergeant, Slick, was revealed to be the traitor.[3]

Behind the scenes

Jester first appeared in The Clone Wars web comic Shadowed, and went on to appear in "The Hidden Enemy," the episode of the television series' 20082009 first season that the comic led into. In the episode, he was voiced by Dee Bradley Baker, who provided the voice for all of the series' clone characters.[2] Jester's model was later reused for clone trooper Pulsar in the second season episode "Brain Invaders."[7]
