The camp and the corpses

Jason is the husband of Isabella Proud, the scientist researching ghouls in the year 2277. His corpse is found near Takoma Factory, next to hers.

Contents

Background

Jason and his wife Isabella Proud were scientists conducting research on Ghouls. They had a camp near Takoma Factory in Takoma Park, with a terminal ("Isabella Proud's Terminal") describing their work. Their corpses are nearby, at the edge of the radioactive pool. Circumstantial evidence based on Isabella's logs seems to indicate that Isabella was entirely unaware of the difference between normal Ghouls and their savage, feral counterparts. The text of her entries implies that she saw all Ghouls to be non-sentient, but potentially approachable humanoids -and engaged in a series of actions that eventually doomed both her husband, Jason, and herself, despite the best of intentions and friendly gestures on her part.
