Jaroslav Špaček (born February 11th 1974 in Rokycany, Czech Republic) is a professional defenceman who plays in the National Hockey League for the Buffalo Sabres.

Prior to his NHL career, he played in Europe, where he wore the colours of the HC Plzeň and of the Färjestads BK; he, with the latter, won the Swedish championship in 1998. He was gold medalist with the Czech National Team in 1998 and bronze medalist in 2006. He also won three World Championships, in 1999, 2001 and 2005.

Špaček has been drafted to the NHL by the Florida Panthers 117th overall (5th round) of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft. He played for the Panthers, as well as for the Chicago Blackhawks, who acquired him fot Anders Eriksson, the Columbus Blue Jackets, who obtained him for Lyle Odelein, and the Edmonton Oilers, who gave Tony Salmelainen for his services. He was a member of the "Cinderella" Oilers who reached the Stanley Cup finals in 2006. On July 5th 2006, he signed as an unrestricted free agent with the Buffalo Sabres.
