Jane is a teenage girl featured in the 2008 musical Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas. She is one of a handful of characters created specifically for the stage production, having never previously appeared in the book or TV special of the same name.

As the story begins, Jane is writing a song on her laptop as her father Russ enters the room. He's carrying a box of affects which reminds him and his daughter of Christmases passed with Jane's recently departed mother. Russ happens upon one of their old favorite books, Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas, and offers to read it to Jane. Dismissing the idea at first, in favor of meeting her friends, she ultimately decides to let her dad read just the first chapter.

As the story continues, Jane eventually finds herself within the story itself, able to interact with the characters of Frogtown Hollow. She meets Emmet Otter and his Ma, and learns of a talent contest coming up in Waterville. An aspiring composer herself, she's convinced by a group of squirrels, who sing "Trust" with her, to take a shot at the $50 prize.

Later, when Alice Otter is denied entry in the production despite all she's sacrified, Jane decides to give her spot in the competition so that Alice may perform a solo rendition of "Our World."

As she accompanies the defeated Otters on their way home down the frozen river, Jane uses her musical talent to hone in on what their individual acts were missing. Instructing the jug-band to join Alice, the group succesfully blend the two songs catching the attention of the Riverside Rest's patrons.

Waking up in her own bed, Jane's dad tells her she fell asleep as he was reading the book. She realizes that she's missed her meeting with her friends, but instead decides to spend Christmas Eve with her father.

The following is based on Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel and has not been confirmed by canon sources.

Jane or Raider Matron was the leader of a huge gang of raiders with a strong matriarchal system. While she was their Matron, other raider women were her lieutenants. They were terrorizing the townspeople of Carbon, carrying out raids for supplies or slaves or whatever they wanted.

When some of her raiders are killed in the local bar by the newly arrived Brotherhood of Steel Initiate, she asks the mayor of Carbon to lure the Initiate into the Carbon crater. There, the mayor, with aid from the raiders, should kill the Initiate. However, the mayor was killed himself, and the Initiate escapes back to town, but it is now in flames as the raider matron wants to teach the citizens never to mess with her again. The Initiate stops the raiders and follows them back to their base of operations: an abandoned mill on the edge of town. Jane is then seen conversing with the Super Mutant general, Attis, apparently selling slaves to him from a previous raid. When she requests for his help to kill the initiate who has killed half her men, even offering herself to him in return, he rebuffs her going so far as to say that he thought her “repulse” for stoping to selling her own fellow humans and that she was on her own to sort this problem. Jane was known to have spent most of her time in the central area of the mill as she liked the “vibrations”.

When the Initiate reaches her, she reveals that she helped the Brotherhood of Steel when she met with a group of paladins who wanted information on Super Mutant activity in the area. She directed them to a mutant army that was at the nearby ghoul city of Los. She then reveals that the paladins not only knew about her activities in Carbon but they also offered her protection. She is then killed by the Initiate in combat.

Jane has a body that of a porn star, wears quite an exposing, black leather cloth and uses dual pistols as her weapons.

Jane is a receptionist at St. Sebastian Hospital. She is heard in a phone conversation with Jack in "Something Nice Back Home" when she calls him early one morning to inform him that his consult with Ms. Berenberg was later that day.

She is later seen when she told Jack that Dr. Stillman from the Santa Rosa Mental Institute called about a friend of his.

Transcript of phone conversation

Jack: Hello?

Jane: Dr. Shephard? Just confirming your 11:00 consult with Ms. Berenberg. It was moved up yesterday, and I know how you are with your calendar.

Jack: Yeah. Yeah, I remember, Jane. I'll, um... I'll be in there.

Jane: Thank you, doctor.

Jack: All right. Bye.
