Jack Woolgar (15th September, 1913 to 14th July 1978) played two roles in Coronation Street: a Darts Stallholder in 1961 and cantankerous pensioner Arthur Noblett in 1970, five years after appearing in two separate roles in the spin-off comedy Pardon the Expression. Amongst other acting roles he appeared in Crossroads from 1976 to 1977, six episodes of Doctor Who (Staff Sergeant Arnold in The Web of Fear in 1968) and was a regular guest actor on television in series such as Budgie.
