Whenever a character is in the complete darkness, he is subject to great troubles by not knowing where will he wander, not being able to prepare himself for the hazards that might lurk about. For that reason, Tibians have developed several methods of illuminating their path to not be in the, literally, total dark. These methods are either static objects (illumination poles) or moveable objects (coal basins and torches for instance)

Illumination

Bamboo Lamp Image:Bamboo Lamp.gif no give light. They give light for 2-3 square meters.
Campfire Image:Campfire.gif yes None. Beware of walking over it! You'll get burnt (20 - 10 - 10 damage).
Campfire (Pot) Image:Campfire (Pot).gif no None. You can't walk on it, don't worry of getting burnt.
Coal Basin Image:Coal Basin.gif no Green aren't movable, yellow are movable. 20080113064542!Coal_Basin.gif They give light for ~6 square meters. You can't place anything on them. Coal basins bought from Furniture Shopkeepers can be used to bake Bread, and Empty Coal Basins may be lit using a Fire Bug.
Fire Basin Image:Fire Basin.gif no Gives light. They give light for a few square meters.
Flame of Life Image:Flame of Life.gif no None. This is the fire you can see when fighting in the Arena and in the caves of the hunting task bosses. It will tell you how many minutes you have left (you have 7 minutes from the time you enter each arena and 10 minutes for the boss monster caves). If you don't leave the current arena before the flame runs out, you'll be teleported out of the Arena.
Glowing Skull Pillar Image:Glowing Skull Pillar.gif no It can be used to put the light on/off. They give light for around 5 square meters. When turned off, this is simply a skull pillar.
Large Candelabrum Image:Large Candelabrum.gif no None. They illuminate the area around them with a radius of 5 square meters.
Large Cauldron Image:Large Cauldron.gif no None. Dworcs probably use them to cook their (human) prey.
Lightbringer's Basin Image:Lightbringer's Basin.gif no Gives light. Looks similar to Fire Basin but with sparkles.
Small Pagoda Image:Small Pagoda.gif no Gives off a little bit of light.
Small Snake Head Image:Small Snake Head.gif no Not movable. The one on Tutorial island can be turned on and off by "using" a lever which is near it. When a Small Snake Head is on, it has flavortext, however, when it is off, it hasn't flavortext.
Stone Coal Basin Image:Stone Coal Basin.gif no Gives off a small radius of light to illuminate the streets of Ankrahmun.
Street Lamp Image:Street Lamp.gif no Not movable. They give light for around 9 square meters.
Street Lamp (Dragon) Image:Street Lamp (Dragon).gif no Not movable. New Street Lamp which was be added in the Christmas Update 2009. Name is an assumption.
Street Lamp (Gold) Image:Street Lamp (Gold).gif no Not movable. They give light for around 9 square meters. They can be turned on and off.

Some of these street lamps in the Alchemist Quarter are broken and cannot be used but turn on and off by themselves.
You see a street lamp.
It doesn't work properly anymore.

Torch Bearer Image:Torch Bearer.gif no none. Can be turned on and off by right-clicking then "use" on the floor space in front of the wall where the lamp is located.
Torch Bearer (Metal) Image:Torch Bearer (Metal).gif no none. Can be turned on and off by right-clicking then "use" on the floor space in front of the wall where the lamp is located. A more luxurious version of a normal Torch Bearer.
Wall Lamp Image:Wall Lamp.gif no none. Wall lamps can be turned on and of by right-clicking then "use" on the floor space in front of the wall where the lamp is located. Wall lamps can only be on the south or east side of a wall.
Wall Lamp (Dragon) Image:Wall Lamp (Dragon).gif no none. New kind of Wall Lamp in the Christmas Update 2009, name is an assumption.
Wall Lamp (Energy) Image:Wall Lamp (Energy).gif no none. Wall lamps can be turned on and of by right-clicking then "use" on the floor space in front of the wall where the lamp is located. Wall lamps can only be on the south or east side of a wall.
Wall Lamp (Gold) Image:Wall Lamp (Gold).gif no none. Wall lamps can be turned on and of by right-clicking then "use" on the floor space in front of the wall where the lamp is located. Wall lamps can only be on the south or east side of a wall.
