The Huntress was a Nebulon-B escort frigate under the service of the Rebel Alliance. The Huntress had tried unsuccessfully, to destroy the Nebulon-B2 frigate Ludwick, despite assisstance with the Pakuuni Pirates, and with some starfighters armed with proton rockets rather then proton torpedoes. The Ludwick, which was waiting for the materials and equipment for the construction of space installation NL-1 and the Victory I-class Star Destroyer Stalwart was being protected by Imperial ace Maarek Stele. The Huntress though had escaped destruction.
