Holly Granger is the estranged and aggressive sister of Dawn Granger. After discovering her sister still alive Holly gained the powers of Chaos and became the new Hawk. Holly and Dawn then join the Teen Titans as reserve members. Recently they assisted in the defeat of a new Kestral in order to save Ravens soul from him.
After reclaiming Titans Island on the East River, Cyborg set out to create an East Coast Titans team. After the elder Titans turned down membership, Cyborg gathered a Titans East composed of Hawk & Dove, Power Boy, Little Barda, Anima, Lagoon Boy and Son of Vulcan.
During a routine training exercise, Cyborg ordered the rest of the team to take down Power Boy. But the newest Titans were shocked to discover Power Boy's burned corpse hanging from a tree. Before the team could react, they were savagely attacked by an unseen foe.
During the new Titans mini-series and Countdown to Mystery, is shown that both Hawk and Dove managed to cheat death one more time.
In Blackest Night: Titans #1 Hawk and Dove are attacked by Black Lantern ( Hank Hall ). Dove is immune to becoming a Black Lantern and Hank plunges his hand into Holly.
After that Holly became a Black Lantern, and she and Hank Hall started pursuiting Dove, who escaped to call for help.Danger Sense Transformation: When in the presence of danger, whether to herself or others, Holly Granger can call out the word "Hawk" and be transformed into her Hawk form. She does not need to be aware of the danger for the transformation to take place, so if she happened to say the word while unknowingly being in danger, the transformation would take place. The transformation only reacts to actual danger, so if Hawk incorrectly believed that she was in danger she would be unable to transform into Dove. The transformation wears off a short time after the danger has passed, unless Hawk has received serious injuries which would kill Hawk, in which case she would remain as Hawk until the danger from the injuries has passed. On high magic worlds she can remain as Dove for extended periods regardless of whether there is any danger present.
The transformation changes Granger into a minor force of Chaos and she gains some brilliant avian physical characteristics, which are usually hidden under her costume. The costume is normally irremovable while on Earth, but if it receives sufficient damage, it can tear and reveal part of her true form. Within realms with higher levels of magic, Hawk can easily remove the costume and show her true form.
