"The Gifted rely on instinct to see them through to victory."

Heritor (エアレス Earesu) is a job class exclusive to Adelle in Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift. It is only available after completing certain events in the game. It can equip nearly all of the weapons and armors in the game and has several potent abilities.

The weapons that teach Heritor skills can only be obtained after the Heritor job is unlocked. The weapons are obtained by checking for a notice in the pub, then finding a location for a quest manually. These quests do not appear in the pub's mission list, but rather pop up when you reach the right area of the map. After completing the mission, you obtain the weapon for the next skill. There will not be another notice for another Heritor skill weapon until after the previous skill is mastered. This also applies to Adelaide, despite being learned without a weapon.

  • To Unlock: Complete the story mission "Through Another's Eyes", then go to Lezaford's Cottage for a scene. After the scene, head to Zedlei Forest and complete the mission there.

  • All of the Heritor's abilities are named after other Gifted, with the exception of Adelaide, which is named after herself.
  • The name of the class may be derived from "inheritor", as Adelle "inherits" her abilities from other Gifted.
  • Late in the game after Illua 'possesses' Adelle and Luso is forced to fight her, she battles as a Heritor, with Lennart as her only move. It is unknown why she is in her Heritor class, but it may be due to Illua's influence.
