Hand Size Limit: Misc

Up to date as of February 05, 2010

From Yu-Gi-Oh!

This refers to how many cards you are allowed in your hand. The limit is Six, but this is only enforced at the end of your turn; during any period after or before, you are allowed any number of cards in your hand.

At the end of your turn, you are required to discard cards from your hand until you have six cards in your hand. There are only a handful of cards that can influence this limit.

  • Hieroglyph Lithograph: This raises your hand size limit to 7, at the cost of 1000 Life Points, for the rest of the Duel.
  • Enervating Mist: This lowers your opponent's hand size limit to 5, with no cost, as long as this card remains on your side of the field.
  • Infinite Cards: This removes the limit on both player's hand sizes, as long as this card remains on the field.
