The Gul Vystan class cruisers were stealth ships that were employed by the Cardassian Union. They were named after a Cardassian Gul who greatly supported the Obsidian Order in the past. These ships were one of the very few Cardassian ships that employed Cloaking devices that allowed them to scout for enemy activity without being detected. However, should it be caught, it was capable of using its Flux wave generator to fire a wave of energy that would distract enemy craft allowing the Gul Vystan to escape.
