Grimble is a Fable troll born in the Homelands many years ago. He is mostly widely known for residing beneath a bridge and his efforts to forestall the passage of three billy goats named Gruff. At some point in time, Grimble acquired a powerful spell known as a "glamour" which allowed him to appear human. After the Fables were exiled from the Homelands by the Adversary, Grimble became the security guard at the Woodland Building in Fabletown. Grimble's effectiveness as a security guard is held in low regard, owing primarily to the fact that he is usually napping at his station.
