A Grape is the non-climactic fruit that grows on the perennial and deciduous woody vines of the genus Vitis. Grapes can be eaten raw or used for making jam, juice, jelly, vinegar, wine[1], grape seed extracts and grape seed oil.
A large number of grape vineyards on Harvest were created for everyday consumption. Some were also grown for wine. This was the main reason some of Utgard's more gentle population ever bothered to make the all-day drive to Gladsheim across the Plain of Ida.[2] They come in many different colors.

At one time, they could be purchased from the Culinaromancer's Chest for a reasonable sum, but a March 2009 update tied chest prices to Grand Exchange values, effectively making the Food Store useless. Another update on 25 March 2009 restored the old prices. Grapes cannot be consumed (eaten).
Guards, goblins, and hobgoblins now commonly drop them and always in groups of 3.
Due to their relatively high value compared to their respawn time, grapes can be an easy and fast way to make money for Free-to-play players. Any player who can enter the Cooks' Guild (req. 32 Cooking or over and a chef's hat), or the Phoenix Gang Hideout can collect them from their respawn locations. Alternatively, players can kill Guards or Goblins and receive them as a drop. These can then be sold on the Grand Exchange, to players looking to make wine, for a considerable profit. This strategy works particularly well for low level players because it only requires being part-way through the Shield of Arrav quest. Alternatively, you can also go to the air runecrafting world, world 16. Many players kill the guards for fun, but since their inventories are full of essence, they will not pick up the grapes.
A grape was a fruit that came in bunches. Lumiya ate a bowl of ersatz grapes while communicating with Tathak K'roylan. Yuuzhan Vong clusterships resembled bunches of grapes.
