Gordon Rollings (17th April 19267th June 1985) was born in Batley, Yorkshire. Between 1964 and 1965 he played Charlie Moffitt the resident comedian of the Viaduct Street Social Club after an earlier appearance in the programme as Jim Schofield in March 1961. An eclectic international career saw him start as an actor on Israeli radio, narrate the childrens animation The Herbs, appear as Arkwright (owner of Tonto the dog) in John Smith's commercial, train as a clown in Paris, and appear in small roles in several major films. Sometimes credited Gordon Rawlings.
