Gnole is a genus the Beast Family introduced Final Fantasy XI: Wings of the Goddess. These vicious wolfmen are intelligent enough to speak, albeit in a broken manner, but have not been observed practicing any unique customs or culture of their own. Unleashed by the Shadow Lord during the Crystal War, they have not been seen since, and are only encountered by players when traveling back in time.

Gnoles are typically weak against Ice and Lightning, but immune to Dark. Despite being Beasts, they have been observed using the Monk class. They also have a unique relation with the phases of the moon - the closer the a full moon, the faster and more accurate the Gnoles' attacks, and the more healing they receive from their Plenilune Embrace ability.
