Located in the southwest corner of the wastes, west of Jocko's Pop & Gas Stop and South-West of Smith Casey's Garage, Girdershade is a small settlement under a broken highway with only two inhabitants and a brahmin.

Background

Sierra Petrovita is a Nuka-Cola addict, and uses her home as a place to collect Nuka-Cola related merchandise. Ronald Laren, on the other hand, says he is only staying because of Sierra.

Layout

Girdershade consists of two houses under a highway, and has some limited barriers in place.

Notes

• There is a random event - a scavenger that might be encountered anywhere in the Capital Wasteland will offer you a Nuka-Cola Quantum and if you buy it, he will mark Girdershade on your pipboy map.
• To the north of Girdershade, there is an enclave camp consisting of one Enclave Officer, two Enclave Soldiers, and two Enclave Deathclaws. (The camp wont be there until after The Waters of Life quest is completed)
• If you have the Quantum Chemist perk, Sierra's house is a great place to pick up Nuka-Cola.
• Care should be taken when fast traveling to Girdershade, as various Wasteland creatures (such as, at higher levels, Yao Guai or Giant Radscorpions) have a habit of wandering into the town.

Bugs

• The Brahmin in Girdershade is an exact copy of the one in Megaton; once encountered the Brahmin will attempt to "go back" to Megaton. You can escort it, but for some reason it will get stuck at the Megaton gate.
