"Any soul when trapped in a coffin by magicks will become a vengeful thing of passionate violence, no matter how innocent or unsullied its former life. The ghost is a lamentable example of such. Tales tell of a mage who trapped his lover's soul in a casket of cold wood and set it at his side, only to be rent limb from limb by the monster his love became. Destroying the casket is often enough to dissipate the apparition, this being more properly called 'releasing,' for it frees the soul at last to assume the form assigned to it by Nature."

Requirement

Open all of the Sluice Gates. Enter Garamsythe Waterway from the Barheim Passage and enter the No. 10 Channel. Ghost will spawn as you walk around the area.

Alternately, the player can close the gate opposite of No. 10 Channel and take the long way to No. 10 Channel. The key spawning condition is that the water in No. 10 Channel area must be full.

  • Similar Ghosts appear in concept art for the canceled spinoff, Fortress, set in Ivalice (Final Fantasy XII's world). The ghosts are seen haunting the entrance of a building sealed with a magic door.
