General Atomics International was a pre-War company known for their Mr. Handy, Mister Gutsy and Robobrain robots, as well as for the construction of nuclear power plants, such as those used in many Vaults and in the American war robot, Liberty Prime.
Mr. Handy was produced by General Atomics International as a house-keeping and defensive robot, able to help out around the house and defend itself and possibly others with its buzzsaw and flamethrower. Mr. Handy is speech-capable, communicating in a polite English accent.
Mr. Gutsy is a modified Type-II Mr. Handy designed for military use by the U.S. Army. Mr. Gutsy comes with a plasma weapon, flamethrower, and significantly better armor than Mr. Handy.
The name is a reference to corporate giants such as General Motors, General Electric, the defense contractor General Dynamics, and the real-life company General Atomics.
