From Final Fantasy Wiki

Gauge is a useful ability available to Beastmasters in Final Fantasy XI, starting at level 10. The ability has a short recast timer, only 30 seconds, and it allows a player to see if they would be able to charm a particular creature. It will even give him a general idea of the probability that his charm will be successful (i.e: It would be very difficult to charm the enemy, or the player should probably be able to charm this enemy). Charm does create considerable enmity if it does not work and gauge creates absolutely no enmity when it is used.

  • Gauge (Micron Booster, 2005)
Booster ID number: 3
Gauge is a redeco of the Mini-Con Nightbeat, transforming into a motorcycle of indeterminable model. Available only as part of the fourth Micron Booster assortment in Japan, Gauge came in a "blind-packed" box that prevented the buyer from knowing the contents of the box until it was opened.
This mold is also used by Universe Nightbeat and the Search and Destroy Robot.

Trivia

  • The packaging for the Micron Booster assortment Gauge was available in does not give any of the Mini-Cons a faction affiliation, so for a time, it was unknown who the Mini-Con associated with. It wasn't until he was shown in the fiction Force of Habit through the Fun Publications Official Transformers Collectors' Club that "Skidmark" was officially pegged as a Decepticon-allied Mini-Con and partner to Runamuck.
