History

Live Wire, Garth Ranzz is a founding member of the Legion of Super-Heroes with electrical abilities.

Born on Winath, Garth and the rest of his family gained superpowers during a crash-landing on the planet Korbal, where they were electrically charged by the resident Lightning Beasts. Later, when his intervention, along with that of Rokk Krinn and Imra Ardeen helped save the life of billionaire industrialist R.J. Brande, he was asked to join Brande's new Legion of Super-Heroes, a government-sponsored team of superpowered teenagers from across the galaxy.[1]

  • Live Wire has lost and regained his right arm several times. It was originally severed from his body during a battle with Lightning Lord.[3]
