The Fomalhaut is the best model of gun available in Final Fantasy XII. It is found in the upper left corner of the weapons part of the License Board. It is a rare treasure found randomly in treasure chests in Cerobi Steppe, the Henne Mines, the Lhusu Mines, or the Pharos at Ridorana. The License costs 150 LP, and it has an Attack power of 50.
The Fomalhaut serves as Balthier's strongest weapon, giving him an Attack power of 100. It also has the element of Water. It is misspelled in the game as Formalhault.
The Fomalhaut is a gun obtainable by Sazh.
The Fomalhaut is the most powerful non-elemental gun in Final Fantasy Tactics. It can only be obtained via multi-player mode.
Like the other models of gun in the game, this weapon is named after a star, Fomalhaut in the constellation Piscis Austrinus. The name comes from the Arabic fum al'hawt, literally "mouth of the whale," and is also known as "the lonely star of autumn," when it is the only first-magnitude star visible in the sky from mid-northern latitudes. Fomalhaut is also a fallen angel from the Book of Enoch.
