The Flute-Snatcher, at Kermit and Miss Piggy's wedding in The Muppets Take Manhattan.

The Flute-Snatcher is a brown monster with a beak who was created by Jim Henson for a General Foods commercial in 1966 for three snack foods -- Wheels, Crowns and Flutes. In Jim Henson's Designs and Doodles, Alison Inches describes the Flute-Snatcher as "a speed demon with a long, sharp nose and windblown hair." [1]

He was used for various inserts in the first season of Sesame Street. In one sketch, he watched a giant letter A with Cookie Monster, Baby Monster, Beautiful Day Monster, an early Grover, and Scudge.

The Flute-Snatcher made a surprise reappearance in 1984 as one of the wedding guests in The Muppets Take Manhattan, sitting at the end of the fourth row on the bride's side.

The design for the Flute-Snatcher puppet is similar to Snake Frackle, who appeared as one of Cosmo Scam's henchmen in the 1971 Christmas special The Great Santa Claus Switch.
