You think me moronic, like many of my kind. You are sadly mistaken.

Flip is a super mutant stationed in the Mariposa Military Base around 2126. He is one of the two prison cell guards, along with Krupper. Unlike Krupper, the Vault Dweller can speak with Flip even if he is not wearing robes like the Children of the Cathedral, although he will immediately attempt to escort you to the Lieutenant. If you are wearing the robes, he will tell you to go to the control room. Failure to comply will result with him attacking you.

If you go into the cell that holds Sarah, Flip will scream, "Don't you come near her! I'll kill you first!" It is very clear that Flip and Sarah have a romantic connection as a product of him watching over her. If you kill Flip, Sarah appears very upset.

Appearances in games

Flip appears only in the first Fallout.

Affiliation

Freelies

Flip was a member of the Freelies.

He, like all Freelies, sabotaged the factories of Vorzyd IV, to make the people realize that the job was not the main thing in a perfect society that the Vorzydiaks tried to built. He and Tray opposed Grath, because of his ways of leading the youth gang. Actually, Flip wanted to keep the attention of his leader, in order to make Grath rely on his methods and way of acting. He made explode the public transport in rush hour, but this divided the Freelies. Then, feeling frustrated and guilty, he would commit a last explosion. It would pull down an empty building, and he would be inside. However, the building filled up because of an emergency meeting and the explosion caused many casualties. Tray and Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi tried to rescue him but it was too late.

Yugioh

From Yu-Gi-Oh!

A flip refers to a card being changed from face-down to face-up or vice versa.

A monster may be flipped, by Flip Summoning it. In this case you change the monster from face-down Defense Position (or Attack Position) to face-up Attack Position.

If a face-down monster is attacked, it is flipped face-up and maintains its battle position. Monsters can also be flipped by the effects of other cards. Neither of these methods are considered to be a Flip Summon.

There is no rule that allows players to flip face-up monsters face-down. This can only be done by the effects of certain cards.

Some monsters, known as Flip Effect Monsters, effect activate when they are flipped face-up.
