Flare II is a Black Magic spell in Final Fantasy XI. It is an upgrade of the original Flare spell and only available to Black Mages who reach 75 and spend the appropriate Merit points to learn it. The spell deals Fire-based elemental damage to one enemy, and lowers its resistance to Water. Additional Merit upgrades increase both the power and accuracy of the spell. It may be recast every 90 seconds for 287 MP. It is classified as Ancient Magic.
