Dr Who

Up to date as of January 31, 2010

From TARDIS Index File, the free Doctor Who reference.

A fish is a type of animal found on Earth and many other planets.

Some intelligent species seem to be descended from fish, like the Fishmen, the Pescatons, the Ockorans, the Kalarians, the Dax, the Hath and Zargath's race. Damon converted humans into fish people through surgery.

Examples of non-sentient fish include pilot fish, singing fish, Aaglon sharks, fugora fish, and Gumblejack.

Fishing, the sport of catching fish, was enjoyed by the Doctor.

Fish was often served with chips on Earth.

Big fish in Tears of the Fallen
Koi fish in Raisu Pavilion
A school of fish in Wizard's Folly

Schools of small fish can be seen along warm coastal areas, such as in Kryta or Mehtani Keys. Larger fish can be seen in further out in the water in some areas, such as Tears of the Fallen. Despite their monstrous appearance, these fish are ambient animals and cannot be interacted with in any way.

Notes

  • The larger fish seem to only swim in a loop around the same area of the sea.
  • Koi fish can be seen in the fountain of Raisu Pavilion, and also are ambient.
  • Smaller fish can also be seen in Pre-Searing, in one of the lakes near the fishing villages. These, too, are ambient and cannot be interacted with.

Sawyer and Kate with a bundle of plantains gathered by Kate

After the crash of Flight 815, the survivors' main sources of food are fruit collected from the jungle, fish from the ocean, and DHARMA food from the Swan or the supply drop.

Foods gathered by the survivors

The survivors have several sources of food, but mainly just protein and carbohydrates. The survivors used remaining airplane food as their main source of food until it ran out around the time of the episode "Walkabout". This is depicted when Hurley delivers two trays of it to Claire in "Pilot, Part 1".

Protein

  • Pork from feral boars, generally hunted and killed by John Locke. (However, since filming with boars was found to be a production nightmare (Lost: On Location (Season 1)), boar has been deemphasized as part of the Lostaway diet.)
  • Seafood, including fish and sea urchin, usually procured by Jin, who was raised by a fisherman, and mussels, which can be pulled off the rocks at the beach.
  • Jin was seen chopping a fish on board The Elizabeth in "The Glass Ballerina". The red fish was likely an Onaga, a deep-water fish unlikely to be caught fishing off a sailboat.
  • The Tailies successfully caught, killed and cooked up a feral chicken, however, chickens have not been seen near the main camp. It is possible that Goodwin smuggled in the chicken from the Barracks.
  • Danielle is depicted in a deleted scene on the Season 1 DVDs as eating a raw egg, likely liberated from a bird's nest. In addition, in a deleted scene on the Season 2 DVDs, Rose is seen cooking powdered eggs.
  • Rabbits, Nathan and Bernard build a a trap which is supposed to catch rabbits in "The Other 48 Days" it is unknown however if they were successful. Alex also is skinning a rabbit in "Greatest Hits".

Carbohydrates

  • Fruit, including plantains, bananas, mangos, passion fruit, guava and papayas,

often gathered by Kate

  • Coconut milk and the flesh of the coconut.
  • Locke is seen eating an orange in "Pilot, Part 1" as Kate removes a pair of boots from a corpse.
  • The contents of Sun's garden, which have not been specifically identified but both herbs (which may be either medicinal and/or edible) and fruit tree saplings (specifically guava, passion fruit and mango) have been mentioned. ("Hearts and Minds")

Fruit salad

Fruit salad has appeared on the Island several times in Season 3. It seems Hurley is often the one preparing the salad, and this might be a result of the choices about his eating habits he made in the Season 2 episode, "Dave".

In "Par Avion", Charlie courts Claire using a surprise bowl of fruit salad.

DHARMA-branded foods

DHARMA food at Lost: The Auction
  • The DHARMA Initiative provides a range of DHARMA-branded staples familiar to consumers of a Western diet. This food, originally discovered in the Swan, was the source of a large feast in "Everybody Hates Hugo". The survivors later obtained more DHARMA foods from a supply drop. Some of these foods have an unnaturally long shelf life, as the ranch dressing, at least, can last for seven years without refrigeration.
  • Much of the food is labeled DI 9FFTR731.
  • List of DHARMA-supplied food:
    • Peanut butter
    • Apollo candy bars first found in the Swan pantry by Kate (who could not resist eating one), and by Hurley in a dream. Rose was also seen saving one for her missing husband Bernard.
    • Ranch composite
    • Dharmalars
    • Wine
    • Rum (Juliet drinks a bottle after the Freighter explodes.) ("There's No Place Like Home, Parts 2 & 3")
    • Macaroni and Cheese Supper
    • Green Beans
    • Salami sausage (among supplies Hurley was packing for his and Libby's picnic)
    • Chocolate cream cookies (Hurley gives Sawyer some advice on how to separate the cookie from the frosting)
    • Nutribar (Sawyer offers Hurley one on the hike to free Walt)
    • Fish crackers (look similar to Goldfish)
    • Tuna (Rose mentions it to Hurley while they're doing the survey and it looks like Kate and Jack are eating some during the party)
    • Olive oil (label visible in pantry picture)
    • Ketchup (label visible in pantry picture)
    • Pickles (label visible in pantry picture)
    • Vegetable oil (label visible in pantry picture)
    • Pasta (label visible in pantry picture)
    • Apple cider (label visible in pantry picture)
    • “Crepes Au Chocolat” was one of the many edibles found in Hurley's food stash. It appears this is the only item that has a French name.
    • DHARMA brand bottled water (given to Jack by Juliet in "A Tale of Two Cities")
    • DHARMA Beer and Light Beer (seen in "Tricia Tanaka Is Dead")
    • Soda Crackers (seen in "Enter 77")

    • Spiced Pork and Ham (visible in Ben's refrigerator in "The Man from Tallahassee")
    • Powdered milk (label visible in camp kitchen in "The Man Behind the Curtain")
    • Sausages (label visible at the boar barbecue in "Left Behind")
    • A-1 Sauce (visible and mentioned at the boar barbecue in "Left Behind")
  • DHARMA-supplied food, as seen in Hurley's stash, or being eaten by Hurley from his stash:
    • Potato chips
    • Toasted oats cereal
    • Assorted cookies
    • Marshmallows
    • Apple sauce
    • Mandarin oranges
    • Kidney beans
    • Sweet peas
    • Pears
    • Crackers

Non-branded DHARMA food

In the 1970's at the Barracks, DHARMA had access to a variety of fresh foods including:

The Others’ food

Miscellaneous foods

Right before she dies, Juliet tell Sawyer they should get coffee. ("LA X, Parts 1 & 2")

Plot elements

  • Kate tells her husband Kevin that she "doesn't do 'taco night'" before she leaves him. ("I Do")
  • Dave constantly tries to make Hurley eat, including on "taco night", and mentioning leftover lasagna at the institution. ("Dave")
  • Sawyer, Kate, Jack, and Hurley play poker with the stakes initially being fruit. ("Lockdown")
  • Sawyer's cage as prisoner of the Others is a device designed to give a food and water reward for certain sequences of behaviors.
  • Cattle outside the Flame, as well as beef stored inside, were featured in "Enter 77".
  • Ben insolently asks Jack and Locke "Do you guys got any milk?" ("The Whole Truth")
  • The Oceanic Six's story of subsisting on fish and coconuts is related as unbelievable in the Season 4 DVD extra "The Oceanic Six: A Conspiracy of Lies."
  • Miles orders a fish taco from La Vida Tacos, then sarcastically says that Bram owes him another one after having been kidnapped in a van. ("Some Like It Hoth")
  • Locke fixes a captive Ben a breakfast consisting of a melon and fried eggs. ("Eggtown")

YCM

From Yu-Gi-Oh Card Maker Wiki

Fish monsters are among the least supported types in the game, if not the absolute least supported type. Recently, however, Tactical Evolution and Phantom Darkness sets have released some new Fish that make using them a viable strategy, including a possible trump card in "Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth." Fish are excellent sychronizers, as many of their effects require the presence or tribute of other Fish to activate.

Some of the better Fish monsters include: "Fortress Whale", "Terrorking Salmon", "7 Colored Fish", "Cranium Fish", "Abyssal Kingshark", "Amphibian Beast", "Ocean's Keeper" "Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth","Golden Flying Fish", "Deepsea Macrotrema" and "Thousand-Eyes Jellyfish".

Support cards include "Umi" while weakness include "Eternal Drought".
