Dr Who

Up to date as of January 31, 2010

From TARDIS Index File, the free Doctor Who reference.

Finney was a burglar who attempted to steal the Doctor's TARDIS and use it to break into banks. He posed as a fellow scientist to case the Doctor's house, then later entered the cellar, but was confronted by the Time Lord. When Finney tried to distract him with a smoke bomb, he accidentally started a fire, forcing them to take refuge in the TARDIS. Upon dematerialising, the ship was transported to Skaro by the Daleks, who planned to turn the Doctor into a humanoid Dalek. After they escaped from the Dalek city, Finney aided the Doctor in using of a herd of dinosaur-like creatures to destroy the Daleks, and was then returned to Earth in the TARDIS. Michael's attorney

The World Trade Center towers were added in later broadcasts of "Adrift"

Finney was Michael's attorney in "Adrift". His low fees were one of the primary reasons that Michael chose him to present his case regarding Walt's custody against Susan and Brian Porter. Finney was aware of his general status in this regard, and reminded Michael that their case against Susan's formidable legal team could be likened to a "David vs. Goliath", and would still be financially draining to Michael.

During the legal meeting, Finney was attempting to help Michael retain his rights as a parent to Walt. Michael became easily flustered, and Finney attempted to manage his outbursts. Eventually Susan made a deal directly with Michael, without any of the attorneys present.

  • In the initial television broadcast of "Adrift", there is a nondescript view of buildings outside of Finney's office window. In subsequent broadcasts, the twin World Trade Center towers are visible in the background, setting the scene in New York City and the date before September 11, 2001.
  • The architecture of Finney's office indicates that it is located in the same building as the conference room of the meeting with Susan's legal team in the same episode
