Fighter torso: Misc

Up to date as of February 07, 2010

From the RuneScape Wiki, the wiki for all things RuneScape

The Fighter torso is a piece of members-only armour. To wear one, a player must have at least 40 Defence. A Fighter torso can be obtained by exchanging 375 Honour Points, in all four roles, after killing the Penance Queen at least once in the Barbarian Assault minigame. The Fighter torso was the only piece of chest armour that provided a strength bonus until the release of Bandos chestplate, Vesta's chainbody, and Statius's platebody.

A Fighter torso can now be picked up from a player's Gravestone should they die with it.

In addition, as of the 19 January 2010 Barbarian Assault Update, you can bank multiple Fighter Torsos as well as other penance items you win.

Mod Tim confirming that the Fighter Torso's stats would be reverted to their original stats
The Fighter Torso's Stats on 19 January 2010. Note how it's a carbon copy of the rune plate.
  • Using the Items Kept on Death screen, players can find that a fighter torso has a hypothetical value of 20,000 coins, which is its high alchemy and low alchemy values combined.
  • The Fighter Torso does not interfere with the effects of Ava's Attractor and Ava's Accumulator.
  • The Barbarian Assault rewards screen labels it as a "Penance torso" even though in-game it is called the Fighter torso.
  • On the 19 January 2010 Barbarian Assault Update, the Fighter Torso's bonuses were made equal to the Rune platebody. Within 2 hours after the update, another update was issued and the Torso was restored to its previous bonuses, along with the +4 strength.
