A player wearing a fez.

Fez hats can be bought from Ali Morrisane in Al Kharid when a player has finished his miniquest, Rogue Trader. Fez hats are part of the Desert outfit, and may be used for protection against Desert heat. Although there is only one type of Fez hats in RuneScape, the sizes vary according to gender.

Before RuneScape High Detail was released, many players wore a fez because, at a glance, it looked very much like a Santa Hat. Fez hats look similar to Santa hats when worn, except they have a black tassle on them while a Santa hat has a white "poof ball". Due to the similarities, Fez hats were once used in scams until an update on 2 January 2008, which disallowed unbalanced trades.

Fez hats cost 24 coins to buy from the shop, but they sell for 320 coins at the Grand Exchange.

Trivia

  • The examine text, "Juss like that", is a reference to popular TV comic and magician, Tommy Cooper.
