The Federation construction ship was a type of construction ship in service to the United Federation of Planets in the late 24th century.

The forward section of the ships are manned by a small complement of officers, with space for the work bee operators to live. The large cargo bay section of the ships themselves is protected by a huge retracting door, which when opened, allows the vast complement of work bees to carry out their construction or repair duties.

During the Borg invasions of 2376 and 2377, numerous construction ships were used as support vessels to construct and repair defenses and maintain starbases and outposts. (TNG video games: Armada, Armada II)
