Page 1: Observations

The hideous, darkly clouded form of Famfrit, scion in opposition to Holy Queen Emmerololth, scion of light, was anathema even to his creators. Thus, after a great battle, was he broken and sealed within armor laced with wards. The confines of his armor are void of light, and so is he called the Darkening Cloud. Men fear the rain that falls from the black clouds that ooze from that giant ewer as a herald of chaos and waste.

Battle

You will be fighting Famfrit with Dr. Cid this time, so command all your party members to attack Famfrit, since Dr. Cid is immune to everything when Famfrit is summoned. As usual, dispel Famfrit's buffs, and start hacking your way through. Hopefully, Reddas is targeting Famfrit, not Dr. Cid. Since Famfrit mostly attacks with Magick, make sure to cast Shell on your party members, Famfrit's standard attack, Briny Cannonade, deals non-elemental damage on one of your characters, and his special attack, Waterja, deals Water damage and has chances of inflicting Silence on your characters. Simply heal with Echo Herbs or Vox. Be sure to pay attention to Dr. Cid's commands since he will buff Famfrit from time to time. Dr. Cid will can also use his S-85 Cyclotrone or Gatling Gun while fighting Famfrit, although you can easily dodge it by going behind the way he is facing. Cure often and remember, Reddas is fighting alongside you. After defeating Famfrit, Dr. Cid's paling will fall and you can start attacking him. If you can defeat Famfrit, Dr. Cid will be a walk in the park for you. He is not immune to Oil, so abuse that with Fire-elemental weaponry like the Gungnir, or a Fomalhaut with Wyrmfire Shot. You could also consider Summoning the Esper Belias in order to make it an Esper vs. Esper battle, since Belias' Fire attacks could do massive damage against Famfrit. Also, use Firaga in order to turn up the heat on Famfrit, and he will be down in no time.
