Leanne braces herself to act the role of distraught businesswoman and when she arrives at the restaurant she feigns upset, mourning the death of her dream. Paul is still feeling nervous about everything and asks if he can come home with Leanne.
Knowing now's not the time to risk her plan, Leanne assents, but when Paul gets a little too close for comfort and asks if he can spend the night - she's thrown and lies that she's too distracted and wants it to be special and insists they take things slowly. As they head for the bedroom, Dan calls angry about why Paul is spending the night at hers. However, she can’t risk losing Paul at this crucial stage and hangs up on a frustrated Dan.
David is nervous as DC Weller asks to be left alone with Gail to discuss what she’s remembered. As he and Tina wait nervously in the café, Tina starts to panic that Gail's about to reveal everything. Meanwhile back at the house, Gail is deflated to hear that if she can’t remember Jason leaving then he is still not in the clear, but as Gail remains hopeful she will soon remember everything, David and Tina dread the consequences.
Steve is furious about Amy’s near accident and angrily asserts that with all the building work going on it was an accident waiting to happen. He’s worried that he hasn’t been giving her the attention she deserves since the Michelle's problems have been dominating their lives. Later, he confesses to Lloyd that all he did was fancy the sexy barmaid and suddenly he’s got himself tied up with more baggage.
The residents of the street are grateful when Tony agrees to have a word with the site manager about the amount of traffic from the development.
