Plot

Michelle and Steve rush into A&E relieved to find Ryan battered and bruised but okay. Ryan reveals that he went to see Alex and as they fought in the road Alex was clipped by a passing car. As Nick and Wendy arrive back from seeing Alex and suggest they all sit down and work out what to do next, Ryan decides he doesn’t want to see Nick and Wendy and waits in the car.

As they try and makes sense of the situation Michelle reluctantly agrees to ask Ryan to take a DNA test and agrees to take one herself. They decide that the boys have to make their own minds up about whether they want to see their biological parents and is shocked when Ryan reveals that he wants to take the test to prove that Michelle is his mum.

Meanwhile, Tyrone, Paul and Molly are worried that Jack isn't up to organising the funeral but are relieved when they arrive home to find him writing a list of things he thinks Vera would have liked at her funeral.

Elsewhere, Darryl asks Lauren to go a gig with him at the student union. Flattered by the attention, she agrees to go out with him. Also Kelly is envious of Vicky's earnings from the knickers party.
