Crewman Elizabeth Cutler in 2151.

Elizabeth Cutler was a human exobiologist and entomologist assigned to the science division of the Enterprise (NX-01) in the 2150s.

Cutler was considered to be hard-working. She was also a gourmet cook and an amateur bartender. She liked to get chosen for special assignments. Besides exobiology, she has knowledge of biology and geology. ({{ccg|ST|Elizabeth Cutler}})

As a child, Elizabeth spent many weeks playing role playing games with her friends via computer networks, and this inspired her too seek adventure in space, and studied as a scientist. In 2151, she was assigned to the Enterprise as it conducted humanities first long-range exploratory mission. A few weeks into the voyage, Cutler was assigned to Subcommander T'Pol's landing party to chart the surface of a newly-discovered Class M planet (later known as Archer IV). During the mission, Cutler, Ethan Novakovich and Charles Tucker III began experiencing hallucinations thanks to an airborne psychotropic compound. Thankfully, the party was transported back aboard the Enterprise and Cutler experienced no adverse affects. (ENT episode: "Strange New World").

A few weeks later, Cutler created an RPG game for her and several crewmates to play so that they could pass the evenings aboard the Enterprise. Despite several problems getting the players to use their imaginations, Hoshi Sato, Travis Mayweather, Novakovich, and James Anderson, began to enjoy the game and played every night. A few days later, Cutler led an exploration team to the surface of Fazi to investigate the species on the southern continent. During the mission, Crewman Jamal Edwards was attacked by one of the creatures, but beamed up to safety. (ENT novel: By the Book).

Alternate universes

In one alternate universe, Cutler lived to the age of 147 years, finally dying of natural causes at her home in Tycho City, surrounded by family. (Star Trek: Myriad Universes novel: A Less Perfect Union)

As Cutler's fate in the mainline universe has not yet been determined in the ENT novel series, this fate may not in fact be an "alternate" one.
