History

Xavier's School for gifted children was destroyed by the government, so in retaliation, Magneto sent an asteroid hurtling towards Earth. The Timebreakers' Weapon X team were sent in to kill all the remaining mutants, but Hyperion convinced them to attempt to take over the planet instead. Eventually Hyperion realized that he could not destroy the asteroid, so he finished off the last of the mutants and Weapon X moved on.
