History

Duke Donald was slain in the Battle of Bosworth (1845), but his soul did not pass on into the next life. Instead, he became a ghost, inhabiting his ancestral home, Barksdale Castle in London, generally residing within a particular suit of armour. Several centuries after his death, his castle became the headquarters for Justice League Europe. Intrigued by them, he helped them against various evil-doers who invaded the castle, though for quite some time, the Leaguers were unaware of his existence or assistance. After he had revealed his presence to the heroes, he became friends with Ralph and Sue Dibny, eventually leaving his castle to travel with the pair.

Notes

• Duke Donald has not been seen since the ending of Justice League International.
