Duane and Katarin (ディーン Dīn; カタリーヌ Katarīnu) are non-player characters in the game Final Fantasy VI. They are lovesick teenagers from Mobliz. In the World of Balance, they are seen falling in love, and will not say anything to the party. In the World of Ruin, they are the oldest survivors when Kefka attacks Mobliz with his Light of Judgment. Terra eventually arrives and begins to take care of the younger children. About this time, Katarin becomes pregnant, and does not know what to do. Terra helps Katarin through her problems. When Terra rejoins the party after the defeat of Humbaba, Duane and Katarin resolve their differences, and in the ending, Katarin gives birth.

• In the Dawn of Souls and 20th Anniversary remakes of the original Final Fantasy, Duane is one of the automatic names the player can choose for the Red Mage Job.
